Board of Directors

Scott Harris, B.S., CPCC
Chief Executive Officer and Founder

After graduating from the University of Michigan in 1995 with a double bachelor degree in economics and communications as well as a high school teaching certification Scott Harris taught 8 years at a suburban Detroit high school.  While teaching Scott also enjoyed coaching varsity football and varsity track and field.

Following his teaching career Scott ventured into the entrepreneurial world and explored various business opportunities.  While each opportunity offered possibilities for a career, none offered the fulfillment of a passionate purpose.

Scott chose to combine his experiences, Christian faith and love of others, into a fulfilling purpose and calling.  As a result, Scott developed Compulsive No More; a Christian based growth/recovery program and workbook for people suffering from compulsive addictions and destructive behaviors.  The program was first offered at Northridge Church in Plymouth, Michigan.

It became clear that many people in the metro Detroit area were suffering from brokenness, past failures, lost hopes, destructive behaviors and addiction.  Scott took his program to the general public and also found acceptance nation wide.

Soon Scott realized the need for a similar program in the legal system so he created Compulsive Stop!.  This program was a secular version of the Compulsive No More Program and also included a workbook.  Soon Suburban Detroit District Courts began to adopt Compulsive Stop!.

Scott then combined these two concepts under one company and formed Compulsive No More Stop! LLC.  His mission was to bring Christian care, growth, healing, and recovery to people of all ages who suffered from brokenness, past failures, lost hopes, destructive behaviors and addiction.

As the economy worsened, Scott saw the need to find a way to bring these programs, life coaching and his speaking presentations to those who were struggling financially and could’t afford them.

This desire paved the way to the founding of Changing Choices Foundation, a non-profit corporation.   In addition Scott began to place more emphasis on bringing growth concepts to teens and young adults.   For the cause of the foundation, from Fall of 2009 through Spring of 2010, Scott hosted a live call-in show of the name, Changing Choices, on Friday nights on local radio station WMUZ 103.5 FM.  Unfortunately and sadly, due to a lack of funding, Scott is no longer able to host the show and the show is off the air.

As CEO of Changing Choices Foundation, Scott has committed his vision, his passion to give of himself, and his experiences to the purpose of the foundation.  Combining with other Christian individuals who share his desire to serve others and make a difference, Scott has found through this foundation, a fulfilling purpose to follow God’s will.

Scott lives in Plymouth Michigan with his beautiful wife Carmen and their three wonderful children, Madison, Sophia, and Carson.

Jason D. Gibson
Treasurer
There is a great joy in growing up the son of a pastor with being exposed to God, Christian education and values from a young age.  However, sometimes there is a tendency to take the relationship with the world through Christ for granted, and Jason Gibson was a person that did take it all for granted from a young age.  Although while living a life of being a good man and a great Christian, on Sundays Jason felt an emptiness inside him that wasn't quenched until after experiencing the lowest of life's lows.
From that experience forward he began to really embrace an honest and mature relationship with Christ.  After this change of focus, Jason became more willing to embrace humanity around him and began to help where he could shine the light of God's love for all in the world.  A ministry area that is dear to Jason's heart has been serving in Christian Divorce Recovery and to help point others to the healing that God demonstrated in his life.
